About

The Wisconsin Horse Alliance is a group of Wisconsin men and women with diverse backgrounds who have come together. Our group consists of veterinarians, humane investigators, rescue/shelter professionals, law enforcement, longtime horse owners, and horse enthusiasts. We believe that the most effective way to ensure the safety and well-being of Wisconsin’s horses is through proactively providing resources for those who don’t know where to turn in various situations. From the first-time horse owner, to anyone who has fallen across hard times and is looking for resources, we believe that by educating owners and the communities in which they live will help to give Wisconsin’s horses a safe place to live in healthy situations. Since most abuse/neglect situations are caused by lack of resources, or barriers to resources, we provide a thorough list of resources to hopefully prevent these situations from happening in the first place. Together, through utilizing our diverse backgrounds and work towards this common goal, we believe we can make a lasting impact on the well-being of Wisconsin’s horses, for today, and for the future to come.

The Wisconsin Horse Alliance is proud to present our 2nd Annual “Midwest Trainer’s Challenge” at the Alliant Energy Center. The event will feature up to 20 horses and 20 trainers that have been working together on trail, riding, in-hand work, and free style horsemanship techniques. The 20 horses and their sponsoring rescues will receive promotional support, adoption support and funds raised during the event.
